Music Matters
We are passionate about music, and strive to offer the best and most inspiring music
around. We believe that music is a vital ingredient in the dance experience, and that dancers have a need to be inspired both rhythmically and melodically.
Our music styles range from the most popular 'modern jive' dance hits, to swing and
blues classics, with plenty in between including latin, show tunes, and ‘nu-tango’.
Something for all tastes ... and hopefully some pleasant surprises ...
But if you have a favourite tune that you really want to hear, then please let us know in advance via the contacts page, or on the night.

But is it 'Ceroc'?
No it is not!  'Ceroc' is the trading name of another organisation, with which we have no
connection. We are an independent organisation, and not part of any franchise.
We prefer to call the dance itself 'modern jive', since that term encompasses the dance
styles practised at the events of many organisers, including 'Ceroc', 'Leroc', and numerous others. We say the dance is the same, wherever you go!   
So, of course, any ‘Ceroc’ or ‘Leroc’ dancers are most welcome at our events.   

About Club Jive
Club Jive was created by David Taylor, a very experienced modern jive, swing, and blues dancer, in his search for a more fulfilling dance environment, with great music and ambience.
He is also an experienced musician and seasoned musicologist, having a vast and varied collection of delectable discs.
